Day 161 – Valentine’s Day Give Away
Today is Valentine’s Day and I feel like sharing the love. I have a dozen #18 Red Hot Nymphs (see the connection? I’m pretty cool that way) that I will be giving away for free. These flies will come presented in a Flambeau clear fly box. I’m even paying the shipping for this.
All you have to do is leave a comment in this post. Once I hit 30 comments (no repeats please) or February 19th comes (whichever happens first) I’ll randomly select an individual to receive the prize. (The selection process includes putting everyone’s name into Excel and using a random number generator to figure out the winner.) The winner will be contacted by email for their address.
As an added incentive, If this post receives over 50 comments I have another give away that I’ve been planning. Details on that give away will come once 50 comments have been made. So it behooves everyone to share this post, because that just means more love for everyone.

Flies. Flies. Flies.
Cool giveaway! Way more exciting than say, roses or chocolate
I’ll be sure to spread the love and let others know about it ~
Wow this is very cool of you.
Sweet giveway!
VERY nice idea. Gotta keep the excitement going over the winter!
Great website! Just wishing I could pursue fishing 365 days a year!
Flippity flies, my friend. Flippity flies.
Rebecca:
What’s cooler than a dozen #18 Red Hot Nymphs. What do you suggest I fish for with them and where? Have you had any luck with these flies?
I have a feeling I will be in Boise, ID this year. Any highly suggested fishing streams near you for flyfishing and with what weight line? I also enjoy ultra light spin rod fishing in small stream with spinners.
Thanks,
Julie

Awesome deal! Even better if I win!! Its all about me..yee, yeeee!
Pick me, pick me!!
Nice holiday gesture! Very thoughtful.
What a great idea. I certainly could put those nymphs to good use during my trip this year. : )
Not really a flyfisherman but I love painting the scenes.
Awesome idea!
Hey Austin,
Cool idea; I’m looking forward to trying these out. I just got started fly fishing last summer (after I was laid off I went to spend a couple days on the North Fork of the Flathead river with my brother in law). I’ve mostly only fished dry flies so far, but I want to add nymphs and wet fly technique to my repertoire this year. If you ever get out to the Pacific northwest, look me up and we can angle some Blue Ribbon Trout streams.

if by chance i win……split the 18 to three dif entrants……thanks the trout whisperer
Oh boy a dozen #18 Red Hot Nymphs would be awesome!!! I think I just might have a place in the fly box just for those flies… Sure would like to win them

Oh by the way I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day!!!
Generous offer Austin. Our first club (Columbia Basin Fly Casters) outing is Feb 27 to WA state’s only spring creek, Rocky Ford. I’d be glad to share with everyone and review in our club newsletter.
Thanks for the opportunity at some nice flies. Once I was fishn in the mountains with my dad and wife. Downstream my dad said hey something just floated by here. I paid no attention as I was working a fly over a fish. Turns out my fly box which contained a collection of flies I had purchase from all over floated out of my pocket downstream. The collection was purchased over several years from odd fly shops and homemade fly makers. When I realized what happened they were to late to save. Not to metion the loss of an incredible collection but with a week left to fish my wife refused to let me borrow a single fly and laughed at me all day. As for the box of flies sometimes there is a great advantage to fishing downstream. Somebody on that stream had a great day!
I am sure that i would put them to some good use while saving a worm at the same time.
Cool contest. Thanks for tipping me off on it.
Great idea for a contest. I’ll for sure spread the love through Twitter @karmano
Share the love brother.
Here is my comment… you know what to do
I just want to see what Red Hot Nymphs look like!
Love it Austin!
This guy I know has been teaching me to fly fish, and I think he’s mentioned that these would be a successful fly!
